Antiparos is a relatively small-sized island conveniently located in the Paros-Naxos island group, just south of Syros. While Naxos and Paros are bustling with a large number of visitors, big towns, large resorts and busy ports, Antiparos remains an alternative, charming and romantic (although increasingly popular) option. Adjacent to Antiparos is the small island of Despotiko. It is separated from Antiparos by a small isthmus, which creates a beautiful and safe anchorage with shallow turquoise waters. It is an ideal place to relax, swim, snorkel, hike and explore some recently discovered archaeological sites. On the Antiparos side, there a two traditional fish tavernas, which can be easily reached by the inflatable dinghy.
